Board Sports Training Video
SURFING WORKOUT- Try doing just a few pushups off the Holoholo Board's Pipe-locked but unstable platform to fire the very same pecs, traps and other muscles used to balance the core and let you pop up to surf. With the Pipe-locked, you can ride it on your belly and it feels somewhat like a body board and you can work those same core stabilizing muscles. The traditional roller action has proven to be challenging and fun conditioning for even the most experienced surfers but you do not have to start this way. See Learn to Ride. |
SNOWBOARD & SKI TRAINING-The Holoholo Board is fun off season or anytime you want to get ready for the mountain. Snowboarders you can ride like a boarder and have fun working the same core, lower body and balancing muscles used in snowboarding. Snowboarding Fundamentals Rotation - The Pipe-Lock keeps it all together so you can rotate upper and lower body and do 360's or other spin moves on both front and tail. Flexion/Extension- Bending your knees while riding the Holoholo board builds stamina and good shock absorbing ability. Foot to Foot- You can pivot on either end of the board and shifting weight from foot to foot is fun and feels like a waddle walk. Stance-A neutral stance is encouraged and you will feel the pivot points below your feet when your in this position. It feels very natural when you are not rolling or moving. Toe/Heel-The pipe roller has a limited roll and full tilt so you will see direct correlation and the benefit to developing toe-heel strength and control. *Check out the Burton Snowboard Academy. Skiers you can ride with your feet parallel and really work at controlling the edges by tilting feet together while balancing. Stabilizing and power muscles go to work when you squat or bend your knees even just a little. It only takes few minutes a day of fun playful balancing to make your skiing better. BUILD STAMINA QUICKLY |
SNOWBOARD & SKI WORKOUT- Once you have mastered the basic balance skills you can try to "waddle walk" the Holoholo Board. Ride like as skier and simply get into a tuck position- You will feel all the little balancing muscles and your power muscles get going. Develop the strength and flexibility needed in your lower legs and ankles to be more comfortable and capable on the mountain.
Practice Riding Switch The Holoholo board can help you get your mind and body used to riding the opposite direction of your natural stance. Practice Rail Slides Ride with Pipe-Locked in -on top of an optional half pipe (or even just a stick, board or other solid object) and it will feel very much like riding a rail, it is hard to do.

SKATEBOARDING & LONGBOARDING-The Holoholo Board is a real challenge for boarders because you have to constantly adjust your weight to stay balanced on that fine line that runs across the pipe roller. Longboarders can relate to the feeling of being on the edge. Street and park skaters you can do 360's, manuels and other tricks with the pipe locked in. These tricks take real practice because its a very dynamic platform. WARNING-Ollies and other jump tricks can be done but may damage roller.
